Patricia Rose Batoha, of Hanover, died May 22, 2011, following a period of declining health.

Born on April 26, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Salome Rutter Carbaugh and wife of John A. Batoha, who died in 1965.

A 1948 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, she was employed as a nurse's aid for Hanover Hall for many years and later by Sears at the Hanover Mall.

She was a loving mother and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her seven children, Anthony J. Batoha of Littleton, CO, Thomas M. Batoha and wife, Joanne of York, Frank G. Batoha and wife, Beth of Mechanicsburg, Patrick J. Batoha of Hanover, Paul W. Batoha of York, Susan M. Long and husband, John of Hanover and John A. Batoha of Florida; and five grandchildren, John, Andrew, Wesley and Wyatt Batoha and Evan Long.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Batoha; five sisters, Josephine Wierman, Geraldine Kaehler, Helen Carbaugh, Geneva Carbaugh and Mary Ann Stremmel and six brothers, Mark, Warren, Bernard, Clinton, George and Harry Carbaugh.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. May 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, with The Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, New Oxford.
