DEATH: Obituary Published in "The Litchville Bulletin" on Feb 8th 1924
Mrs. Oline Christine Olson died at the home of her son, Andrew S Olson, southeast of town, on Friday, Feb 1st, at the hour of 6 am, at the age of 76 years and 13 days. Death was caused by a paralytic stoke, with which the deceased had previously been an invalid. She was confiened strictly to her bed for the past year.

Mrs Olson was born in Norway on the 18th day of January, 1848, under the name of Oline Christine Svor. When twenty years of age, and while still living in the land of her birth, she was married to Mr Olson. Nine years later, in 1877, they gathered up their few belongings, and their little brood of children, set sail for the land of opportunities - America. They first located at Benson, MN and after remaining there for a few years, they came to what was then Dakota Territory. Mr Olson worked on the section for a short time and while thus employed, was killed by abolt of lightning, in 1882. The following year, the widow and children came to these parts, homesteading the N.W. quarter of section 34, Litchville Township, on which the deceaased continued to live until her end.

The children who remain to mourn her death are: Andrew S Olson, living on the old homestead, Mrs. G.C. Bjone [Gilbert & Ablena] of Verona; Mrs.John M Olson [Olena], of this city; Mrs. A.J. Vickerery [Elmer G & Sophia], of Terry, Mont and S.M. Olson [Stephen], also of our city.

Mrs. Olson was a member of the North Lamoure Church, and the last rites were said in that church on Tuesday, Rev I. L. Lasseson, of Hastings officiating. Christ Smedshammer, Olaus Olson, Hans Belling, Gust Belling, Conrad Ellison, and J.C. Haarsagor carried the earthly remains to the resting place in the church-yard cemetery.
She fought a good fight; she finished the course! May her reward bring her joy thrrough all eternity.
