Osa O. Wasper Leute Lansing, MI. born Oct. 20, 1925 in Mason, died Feb. 16, 2006, at the age of 80. Mrs. Leute was married on June 1, 1947 to Donald Leute. She was an
excellent cook who enjoyed working in her garden and being with her family. Mrs. Leute loved to travel to Mackinac Island and Sault Ste. Marie on weekends. One of her favorite family traditions was to walk the Mackinaw Bridge, which she did 18 times. Mrs. Leute was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Howery Wasper;
sister Alice Sprite; nephews, Ken Fell and Mark Sprite; and sisters-in-law Alice Fell and June Edington. Surviving, along with her husband, are her daughters, Joyce Leute of Toledo, Ohio, and Jayne Leute of Lansing, son, Alan (Marcy) Leute of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Jaridd, Holden and Madison Leute; special grandson,
Travis, the sunshine of her life; 3 adopted grand children; niece, Loualyce Rankin; great-niece, Charlotte Fell and her friend, Ben; and great-nephew James Fell.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2-20 at 2 pm at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, Lansing. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one's choice in
memory of Mrs. Leute. The family would like to thank Ingham Medical for all of their care and support and special thanks to Chaplain John and her physical
therapist, Rachel.
