Mrs. Dora M. Floyd
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Margaret Hatchell Floyd, wife of William Hudson Floyd, will be conducted in the Effingham Presbyterian church at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Eugene Jordan, pastor of the church and the Rev. M.B. Guster, pastor at the Evergreen Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery near Olanta.
Mrs. Floyd died late Friday night after a brief illness. She was born in Florence county, Oct. 12 1878, the daughter of the late E. C. Hatchell. She was a member of the Effingham Presbyterian Church.
Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fred Morris, Mrs. W.T. McGee, Mrs. Arthur McKee, all of Portland Oregon, Mrs. Colie Hall of Effingham, Mrs Walter Kominski of Manchester, Conn; two sons, Ira J. Floyd of Florence, Randelson Floyd of Olanta; a sister Mrs. Cottle Worrell of Florence, 21 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as active pallbearers and nieces will have charge of arrangement of the flowers.
Honorary escorts will be members of the Men's Bible classes of the Effingham Presbyterian Church and the Evergreen Baptist Church. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
