Obituary:
Services for Dorothy A. Huff were held at the Carney First Baptist Church, Thursday, August 30, 1984 with Rev. Jim Wininger officiating. Strode Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements and interment was in Bethany Cemetery in Hallett. Mrs. Huff, a resident of Rosewood Nursing Home, died August 28, 1984.

She was born February 24, 1909 in Hallett, the daughter of Dudley and Lottie Jane Osborn. She attended school in Hallett and taught at High Grove, a country school district for one term before her marriage to Tony R. Huff in Cleveland, Oklahoma on May 18, 1929.

After their marriage, the couple lived near Hallett for several years before moving to Cushing and then to Stillwater. They later spent 20 years on a large farm near Jennings. From 1949 to 1965, they lived in Booker, Texas and from 1955 to 1959 they lived on a farm near Stillwater. In 1959 they moved back to a farm near Jennings, where they lived until 1971 when they moved to an acreage near Carney.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, two sons, Ralphard D. Huff, 1951, and Franklin Wayne Huff in 1951, and two brothers, Archie Osborn and Absalom Toler.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters, Homer G. Huff, Rt. 4; Jack L. Huff, Rt. 5; John R. Huff, Rt. 5; Tony Don Huff, Oilton; Mrs. Larry (Delores) Potts, Carney; Mrs. Buster (Carol Sue) Christian, Enid; and Phyllis Kaye Oliver, Enid. She is also survived by one brother, Richard Toler, Galena, Mo., 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Terry, Allen, Scott, Larry, and DeWayne Huff and Randy Oliver; and two honorary: Steve Helfenbein and William Christian.
