Gordon Douglas Howie, a native of Newport Rhode Island and resident of Slidell for the past 30 years, died of natural causes on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his wife Connie Lagman Howie.
He was the father of four daughters and three sons-in-law, Melissa and Joseph Spinosa of Slidell; Laura and Jake Eiswirth of Katy, Texas; Michelle Howie of Grove City, Ohio; and Sheila and Tommy King of Madisonville, La.
He had nine beautiful grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass was held on Nov. 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street, Lacombe.
