SLIDELL - Connie L. Howie, 58, of Slidell, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005,
at Slidell Memorial Hospital from a sudden illness.
A native of Portsmouth R.I., and a resident of Slidell for 26 years, she
was a secretary in the city's engineering department.
She was the beloved wife of Gordon "Doug" Howie; mother of five
daughters, Laura Eiswirth and Jake, Shelia King and Tommy, Melissa
Spinosa and Joey, Karen Murry and Shelly Howie; daughter of Alfred W.
Lagman and the late Mary Lagman; step-daughter of Blanche Lagman; and
sister of Edward Lagman, Bobby Lagman and the late William Lagman.
She was also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of the City of
Slidell, are invited to attend the memorial Mass at St. Luke the
Evangelist Catholic Church, Slidell, at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in Rhode Island at a later date.
Visitation will be held at the church after 9:30 a.m. Thursday until
funeral time.
