George Anthony Argys, born March 15, 1926 in Salida CO, died Nov. 1, 1998, Sacramento, CA. After serving his country in WWII, George graduated from the Univ. of Denver with a BA in Political Science. A member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, George began his career as Special events Dir for Univ of Denver. He moved to CA in 1951 to begin a successful career representing philanthropic organizations including Nor Cal Rep of Nat'l Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, Nor Cal Dir for Multiple Sclerosis, Exec Dir of the CA Assn for Mental Health. Later he moved to DC as the Nat'l Dir of Fund-raising for the Nat'l Assn for Mental Health. Semiretired as owner/proprietor of Harrington's Grocery in Ft. Worth, TX.
