JOHN STUDE
John Stude was born in Stafford County, Kansas, on June 27, 1892. He passed away on August 31, 1964, at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 4 days, in the Lincoln County Hospital, Hugo, Colorado on a trip to visit his son, Vernon Stude.

He grew to manhood in the Bedford community, northwest of Stafford, Kansas. He was married to Grace Jones on October 20, 1915. To this union were born seven children: Lawrence, of Lubbock, Texas; Mrs. June Line, of Montezuma, Kansas; Howard, of Copeland; John, of Trafford, Pennsylvania; Vernon, of Arriba, Colorado; Frank, of Copeland; and Mrs. Alice Widner, of Copeland.

The family lived in Stafford County until the spring of 1929, when they moved to the Copeland community, where they have resided since.

Mr. Stude was preceeded in death by his wife, who passed away August 17, 1962. He is survived by all of his children; one brother, Arthur, of Harrison, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

Mr. Stude was a member of the Christian Church of Stafford, Kansas; a member of Santa Fe Lodge No. 312, A.F. and A. M., Sublette, Kansas; the Wichita Consistory, and the Midian Temple of Wichita, Kansas.
