The 1880 census for Cologne, Mason Co., W. Va. shows 35 year old Albert living with 31 year old wife Elizabeth & 4 children: Anna 13, James 12, Emanuel 11, Mary Ann 4, and Albert 1; occupation, farmer. Family lore says that son Emanuel was killed in a 1910 mine explosion in Pennsylvania. His grave has not been located.
Albert's death record in West Virginia has birth in Glouchester, England. Death from "chronic organic heart disease, dropsy" on Apr 12, 1902 in Clifton, Mason, West Virginia.
