Joseph Jason Brown, known by most as "Jay", died peacefully on a Sunday. He was born in Miami, Florida to William Joseph Brown and Llewella Radcliff Brown and raised by a loving Step Mother Carese Adams Brown. Jay was a graduate of the University of Florida and served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean War. Most of his professional life was spent in commercial real-estate and particularly as Director of Real-estate for Burger King Corporation. Jay and Betty moved to Rockdale, Milam County, Texas in 1982. They quickly and eagerly became active members of many organizations in town. Some of Jay's passions were Rotary, The Christmas Round Up, The MARC Center and St. John's Methodist Church. He loved welcoming so many to his annual Fourth Of July Picnic as well as the Easter Sunrise Service in the pasture. Preceding him in death were his son Joseph Carl Brown, (Jake) and also his sons in law, Philip Carnegie and former Rockdale resident Emmet Perry. phillipsandluckey.com
