"C. P. Robinson, Full of Years, Answers Call
Cornelius Preston Robinson, brother of the late Crittenden Robinson, former champion wing shot of the world, and a member of a family long noted in the annals of Alabama aristocracy, died at Hahnemann Hospital early yesterday morning. He was 70 years old. Death was due to pneumonia.
Robinson formerly was active in the legal life of San Francisco, His father, Todd Robinson, was one of the first judges of California.
Robinson is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles S. Aiken of San Francisco; Mrs. George F. Beardsley, and Mrs. S. S. Weller of San Rafael, and a sister, Mrs. Monroe Salisbury of San Rafael.
While Robinson never sought public office, he was prominent in political activities in the days when the business was strenuous. He always took an active part in the work and play of Southern societies."

"Robinson – In this city, June 29, 1916, at the Hahnemann Hospital, Cornelius Preston Robinson, father of Mrs. S. S. Theller, Mrs. C. P. Aiken, Miss Helen Robinson and Mrs. G. P. Beardsley, a native of Alabama, aged 70 years, 7 months and 19 days. A member of Oriental Lodge, No. 144, F. and A. M. and California Commandery, No. 1, K. T. (Alabama and Kentucky papers please copy.)
Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 1 o'clock, at Masonic Temple, Van Ness ave. and Market st. under the auspices of Oriental Lodge, No. 144, F. and A. M. Interment private."
The funeral book also states that Cornelius Preston Robinson was cremated at the Cypress Lawn Crematory on July 1, 1916.
