Services for Henry Newton Newhouse, 74, of Gassaway Road, Woodbury, who died Wednesday, June 10, at home after an extended illness, were held 4 p.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home chapel with burial in Beech Hill Cemetery. Tim Hall and Olin Hastings will officiate.
His parents were the late Issac and Juliette Crouch Newhouse.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bugg Nichols Newhouse of Woodbury; a son, Stephen Nichols of Woodbury; a daughter, Joy Nichols Pope of Woodbury; and five brothers, Paul Bugg of La Vergne, Alfred O. Bugg of Woodbury, Roy Floyd of Manchester, Doyle McConnell of Manchester and Ben Hartsfield of Woodbury.
A member of West High Church of Christ, he was a veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver.
Visitation was held from Thursday at Woodbury Funeral Home.
