Russell Leonard Anderson passed away at home on April 27, 2001, at the age of 86. Leonard was born on August 18, 1914, in Choctaw, OK, where he lived and worked all his life. He grew up on the family farm. He met and married his bride of 66 years, Ellen Addiline Lundy in Harrah, OK. They had 3 children, Freddie, Sheila, and Robert. Leonard worked for Douglas Aircraft, OG&E, and later owned and operated the Choctaw Conoco Service Station for many years. He was preceded in death by his son, Freddie; daughter, Sheila; parents, Mary and George; brothers, Jesse and Leon; sister, Opal.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Ellen of the home; grandson, Russ of Denver, CO; son, Bob and wife, Mary Ellen of Oklahoma City; Rik Deaver and family of Oklahoma City; Tom Deaver of Boston, MA; sister, Helen Wolfe of Choctaw; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the Angelic Hospice Staff for their kindness and support.
Services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, Monday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m. with interment at the Schwartz Cemetery.
