Orlando Tenorio
(January 12, 1930 - April 18, 2016)
Services for Orlando Tenorio, 86 of Pintada, NM are pending with Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM. Mr Tenorio passed away Monday evening at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vagas, Nevada.

He is now resting in paradise. Death is the last chapter in time, but the first chapter in eternity.

Orlando (Lando) was born on January 12, 1930, to the home of Santiago and Antonia Padilla Tenorio in Pintada, New Mexico .
He attended school in Pintada and worked on the family ranch. He married Dolores Ortega in 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico where he resided until the early 1950's. Soon after, the family moved to San Fernando, California, so he can pursue a job as a foreman for local 300 construction company. With determination and persistence this opportunity opened up the door for other family members to join him in California. This was the starting point for this construction career. True to his craft he began to make a name for himself all over California and New Mexico.
In 1967 he decided to move back to Pintada, New Mexico and help run the family ranch, and continued working in construction taking on projects near and far.

Lando was a true rancher, and loved the history of the land. Tending his cows, fixing fences was more of a hobby, then a chore. During his spare time he loved looking for arrowheads, tending his garden, or working on a word search puzzles.
He had a contagious smile that would bring out the best in people. Lando was a simple man, but his heart was full of gold. His family and friends loved him dearly.
