Lawrence "Snooks" Beach, 74, from Manor, TX passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. He was born on March 28, 1940.

Lawrence retired as a Firefighter in the Austin Fire Dept. with 30 years of service and maintained contact with many of his fellow Firefighter family, especially with one of his closest friends Cpt. John Marshall. During his retirement Lawrence was active in farming and ranching operations, again developing many friendships, in particular with Mr. Kenneth Taylor. Lawrence was an avid deer hunter and looked forward to each season with his son and grandsons.

Lawrence really enjoyed RV traveling the US and Alaska with family and friends.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Antoinette Kleypas Beach, three brothers, Gilbert, William, and Thomas Beach; two sisters, Dorothy Schmidt and Laverne Frei.

Lawrence leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Lillian Kostroun Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Cynthia Beach; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Julie Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Townley, and 7 grandkids; Gregory R., Keith, Tristan, Skylar, Makayla, Madison, and Jordan; 2 surviving sisters, Juanita Buxkemper (Leonard), and Ruth Jahns (Monroe).

The Family would like to send a "Special Thanks" to the Nursing Staff on the 7th Floor at Seton for their compassion and support during his time in the hospital and Dr. Loukas and his Staff at Texas Oncology.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Austin Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to Westphalia Heritage Fund c/o Doris Voltin 254-583-4768 in honor of Mr. Lawrence "Snooks" Beach.

A visitation was held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Pflugerville with Monsignor Elmer Holman celebrating services. Interment followed Mass in St. Mary's Cemetery in Westphalia, Texas.
