Juanita Perez Hernandez, 80, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, 2006. She was born to the late Desiderio and Tomasa Perez on July 12, 1926 in Maxwell, TX. She worked at Rip Griffin Truck Stop for many, many years. She was a Crusillista and Guadalupana. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dora Hernandez and a son, Joe Hernandez. She is survived by five sons, Mack Jr., Jesse, Tony and Richard Hernandez all of Lubbock and Ernest H. Mendez of San Antonio; four daughters, Lupe Rangel of Grand Prairie, Gloria Subia and Mary Rangel of Lubbock, Olga McCormick of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Trinidad Palacio and Maxima Cordero, both of San Marcos; one brother, Domingo Perez of San Marcos; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 at White Funeral Home. Mass will be recited at 3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 18, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Father Andres Mendoza as Celebrant. Pallbearers will be: Victor J. Rangel, Jr., Mel Hernandez, Joel

H. Subia, Nicole H. McCormick,Jesse Hernandez, Jr., Eric M. Rangel and Danny Perez. Interment will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home.
