Chustz, Lytle Joseph

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalms 116:15. Lytle Joseph Chustz passed away on June 4, 2013 at home. He was 88, a native of Erwinville and resident of Addis for 55 years. Visiting will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am celebrated by the Reverend Matt Lorrain. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Lytle was born on December 11, 1924. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Board of Directors for American Gateway Bank. He served as a member of the Atchafalaya Levee Board, W.B.R. Parish School Board, W.B.R. Parish Planning and Zoning Board, District I Water Board, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish Council. He was a retired independent distributor for the Borden Dairy. Lytle was a WWII veteran, and past Commander of the Addis VFW post. He is survived by his six children and their spouses, Dr. Letitia Chustz Reeves and John of Blue Ridge, GA; Amy Chustz Hebert and Michael of Brusly; Dr. Mark Chustz, Eutaw, AL; Michael and Levie Magee Chustz of Baton Rouge; Brian and Linda Clebert Chustz of Plaquemine; and Mary Chustz Delapasse and Wayne of Brusly; two sisters Melba Chustz David of Ville Platte and Gayle Chustz Denova of Port Allen; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Lytle was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Kathryn Talbot Chustz; his parents James Ferdinand and Marie Leontine Damare Chustz; three brothers J. F. Chustz II, Roger J. Chustz and Glenn "Buck" Chustz. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jonathan L. Bridges, Michael Chustz Jr., Jacob Delapasse and Joseph Chustz and his great grandsons, D.J. Hotard and Derrick Hotard. The family would like to send a special thanks to Terry Sanders, P.A. and to his friends and neighbors for their help and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Miracle Network of Baton Rouge.
