James Ferdinand “Ferd” Chustz, Jr., died Sunday, May 25, 1986, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital. He was 83, a native of and resident of Erwinville. He was a retired dairyman.

He is survived by his wife, Leontine Damare Chustz of Erwinville; two daughters, Mrs. Percy (Melba) David of Ville Platte, and Gayle C. Seguin of Port Allen; four sons, J.F. Chustz of Baton Rouge, Lytle Chustz of Addis, Roger Chustz of Erwinville, and Glynn “Buck” Chustz of Livonia; two sisters, Evelyn Pease of Austin, Texas, and Josie Durham of Innis; a brother, Erwin Chustz of Lockhart, Texas; 25 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, J.F. and Rachael Chustz; three sisters, Yetta C. Fugler, Rachael C. Langlois and Lois C. Chustz; and a brother, Joseph Adam “Jack” Chustz.

He was a member of Imaculate Conception Catholic Church.
