Allen West, born February 22, 1924, passed away on June 18, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Opal West and sons: Gary, Michael (Debbie), and Jim; daughter Paula (Arthur) Wills; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and brothers: Vincent, Reed, Ray, and Ralph; sister Blanche Barker. He was preceded in death by his parents James Albert and Eliza Ann Vincent West, two sisters: Sylvia Barney and Rose Taylor, and his brother Willard West. Mr. West was born in Benjamin, Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1942 after which he proudly served his country during World War II. He married Opal Wilson on November 22, 1947 in Elko, Nevada. Allen worked at Tooele Army Depot until his retirement in February 1978. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Stockton LDS Ward at 9:00 a.m. with services following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Camp Williams State Cemetery.
