She was born June 4, 1911, in Bad Axe, daughter of the
late Charles and Emma (Hux) Ward. She was united in marriage to John B. Adams Sr. on July 18, 1931, in Ohio. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1954.
Gertrude was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing.
Surviving are four sons, John B. "Jack" Adams and his wife, Carolyn, of Shingleton, Jerry Adams and his wife,
Kathy, of Pigeon, Kenneth Adams and his wife, Bernette, of St. Charles, Donald Adams and his wife, Sally, of Sebewaing; one daughter, Dee Adams of Sebewaing; 17
grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; and one granddaughter.
