Virgle Dale Brownfield, 54, of Van Buren died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in his home. He was an employee of Crawford Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, having served as registered nurse supervisor for 12 years. He was of the Baptist faith and a longtime resident of this area.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Cremation will be after the service under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by his companion, Vernon Earl Bennett of the home; two daughters, Alicia Diane Hanson of Barling and Sharonda Marie Brownfield of Fayetteville; one son, Justin Odell Brownfield of the home; his mother, Lois Holton of Hugo, Okla.; three sisters, Shirley Sanders of Claremore, Okla., Letha McCormick of Hugo and Cynthia Friddle of Mountain Home; two brothers, Vernon Webster of Pocola and Benny Brownfield of Arkoma; and three grandchildren, Logan, Brittney and Caleb Hanson of Barling.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday, March 17, 2009, from 8 to 10 a.m., prior to service at Ocker Memorial Chapel, 700 Jefferson St., Van Buren.
