Services for Dale Brownfield were Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Emmons officiating.
Mr. Brownfield was born December 24, 1929, at Stapp, the son of Frank and Minnie Goines Brownfield, and died December 18, 1993, at the Love County Health Center in Marietta at the age of 63.
A resident of Marietta for one year, he moved here from Heavener. He married Mable Mantooth at Ozark, Arkansas, on July 3, 1980. Mr. Brownfield was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Brownfield of the home in Marietta; his step-father, Ezra Goines of Arkoma; four sons, Terry Brownfield and Jimmy Brownfield of Marietta, Virgle Dale Brownfield of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Benny Brownfield of Arkoma; four daughters, Lena Cavitt of Marietta, Shirley Sanders of Claremore, Letha Cochran of Hugo, and Cindy Friddle of Greenwood, Arkansas; a step-son, Vernon Webster, Jr. of Pocola; four step-daughters, Lisa Cox of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Jessie Hendrix of Arkoma, and Melissa Boone and Amy Roby of Spiro; three sisters, Pauline Mork and Mamie Dunnam of Wichita, Kansas, and Christine Fowler of Newton, Kansas; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Burneyville Cemetery with Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home in charge of services. Serving as pallbearers were James Self, Bradley Boone, Doug Self, Shirley Gene Bannings, J.C. Scrivener and James Sexton.
