Udell Clifford Asberry, son of the late Clayton Asberry and Floy (Willis) Asberry, was born November 24, 1923 in Ruble, MO. Passed away December 21, 2015 at his residence having obtaining the age of 92 years and 28 days.

On March 23, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, Udell was united in marriage to Lucy Lewis and to this Union four children were born. Udell was retired from MODOT Centerville shed. He was a member of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a master mason at Barnesville Lodge #353 receiving his fifty year pin in 2004. And was a member of VFW.

Udell enjoyed being with his family and playing music until he could not play any longer. Udell was a huge lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals planning his day around the games no matter how many innings he watched the whole game and even watched the games again the next day even if they won or lost.

Udell was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Truman Asberry, Chester Asberry, Dwain Asberry, Gene Asberry, Foy Asberry and four sisters, Cleta Duncan, June Cook, Connie Ahrens and Velman Duffy.

Udell is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Lucy of Harrison Valley, MO; his four children Diana (Asberry) Sandusky, Bernie, MO, Lewis (Pamela) Asberry, Bonne Terre, MO, Nancy (Wesley) Roberts, Ellington, MO, Clifford (Molly) Asberry, Ironton, MO. Seven grandchildren Franklin ,Brandon and Jarid Roberts, Ellington, MO, Shana Hollingsworth, Pevely, MO, Andrew Asberry, Bonne Terre, MO, Jeffrey Sandusky, Centerville, Ohio and Taylor Asberry, Ironton. Eleven great-grandchildren. And two brothers Elva Asberry, Herculaneum, MO, Dale (JoAnn) Asberry, High Ridge, MO and many nieces and nephews family and friends. He enjoyed the visits from his "girls". Alison and Amy. Udell will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who will mourn his passing.

Funeral Services follow at 1 PM at McSpadden Funeral Home

Burial: Ellington Memorial Cemetery.
