He was a veteran of WWII in the US Navy. Survived by two sons, Nicholas J & Patrick, both Dover Plains; daughter Dolly Whitbeck, Litchfield, CT; brother Joseph, Chicago; three sisters, Dorothy Rubertello, San Francisco; Lorane Weiner, Danbury; Alene Johnson, Washington, CT; one grandson, Nicholas III.
