Tonopah Laine "Toni" Cox, age 83, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Madison House of London, OH. Born July 31, 1933 in Lincoln County, WV to the late Clifford and Hulda Stowers.

Proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. She had a lengthy career in public service, including service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Attorney's Office in Columbus, OH, the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy in London, OH, and the Hurt Battelle Memorial Library in West Jefferson, OH.

Longtime member of the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson. She was an avid gardener and had a passion for for all creatures, great and small.

Gardening was a passion of hers. From annual and perennial flowers around the house, to heirloom tomatoes of which she cultivated by the hundreds each year and gave them to friends and relatives.

Preceded in death by husband, Richard W. Cox; brothers, Rexal Stowers and Clifford Stowers Jr;

Interment Hampton Cemetery.
