MONTICELLO--Allie Lemley, 88, of Selma (Drew County), died February 16,
1998, at Drew Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 29, 1909, at Hamburg, a daughter of the late John
Henry Gilliam and Ophelia Phillips Gilliam.
She was a homemaker and was a member the Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. Lemley.
Survivors include two sons, William B. Lemley of West Monroe, Louisiana and
Theodore R. Lemley of Marion, Ohio; three daughters, Clara M. Nelson of
Ocala, Florida, and Betty J. Sloan, and Mary L. Curtis, both of Selma; a
brother, John C. Gilliam of Tallahassee, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchiIdren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1O a.m. Thursday at Stephenson-Dearman
Funeral Home at Monticello. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery in Drew
County. AR.

Orell was, actually, born in Bayou Twp,Ashley Co., AR. This was near the community of Line, AR, which spanned both the Ashhley Co. line over into Collins Twp., Drew Co., AR. Orell was not born in the county seat, Hamburg, Ashley, AR.. She was the youngest daughter of John Henry Gilliam & Ophelia Phillips. Orell md. William Milas Jackson Lemley on Nov. 22, 1925 in Ashley Co., AR. She was W.M.J. Lemley's 3rd of 3 wives. She had 9 children.
Burial was Feb. 19, 1998.
