Ophelia was b. in Drew or Ashley Co., & md. John Henry Gilliam on Oct. 27, 1895. She had 8 or 9 children. One child that died very young was son, Preston Gilliam. Son, Henry P. Gilliam, who also died young, may be the same child known as Preston. June 28, 1900 Drew Co. census lists a son, Henry P., & shows that Ophelia had 2 deceased children, names & sexes unknown. It is not certain where Henry P., Preston, or the other 2 deceased infants are buried (likely in Mt. Olive Cem.). Ophelia died near Line, Ashley, AR & was buried in Mt. Olive Cem., next to or very near her mother, Martha Louise (Haisty) Phillips. Her husband John Gilliam would later be buried next to her. The graves of Ophellia & John Gilliam have no markers.
