He was a U.S. Army Veteran. On August 6, 1955 in Northwood, IA. Don was united in marriage to Pat Leary. He was employed by Western Electric for 32 years. He was an avid gardener, woodworker/carver, woodsman, hunter, and fisherman. He was most comfortable out of doors enjoying nature.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Pat Children: Laurie Jensen, Susan (Kenneth) Burr, Steven Jensen Grandchildren: David Burr, Melissa (Timothy) Feist, Brother William E. Jensen, Sister Audrey Cortez. Many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aitkin. Reverend Cynthia Gray will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8PM, Tuesday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin and will continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred.
