William Jensen, age 93 of Dalbo, MN, died on Friday, April 5, 2024, at his home. Bill was born to William and Hazel (Willis) Jensen on November 29, 1930, in Minneapolis. He went to school at the University of Minnesota, receiving his degree in civil engineering in 1953. That same year, he married Barbara A. Hera on December 22 at the Fort Snelling Chapel. After Bill served his country in Korea and Guam, the couple went on to have two children. The family lived in Fridley and Oak Grove before moving to Dalbo Township near Milaca in 1995. Bill had a successful career as a civil engineer, serving as the President of Suburban Engineering in Fridley for several years. He loved hunting dogs, in particular the 22 litters of Wirehaired Pointing Griffons that he bred and was a founding member of NAVHDA. Bill also enjoyed gardening, birding, and reading nonfiction.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Barbara Jensen and husband, Tom Crawford of Steuben, Maine; son, William Jensen of Dalbo; grandchildren, Kate Crawford, William (Emily) Crawford, Valkyrie (Reid) Jensen, and Dagmar Jensen; and great-grandson, William. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; his parents; and siblings, Donald Jensen and Audrey Cortez.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at William Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Princeton with an informal gathering starting 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to NAVHDA or the environmental charity of the donor's choice.
