Funeral services were held today July 24, for Drumright student, Mart Tel Brandon, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Pastor Will Fine officiated, with burial following in Jennings Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers were Donald Brandon, Tommy Brandon, Zeb Brandon, P.J. Lankford, Kevin Willing, and Travis Willing. Honorary casketbearers were D.J. Dennis and Stanley Brandon. Arrangements were under the direction of Peck Funeral Home of Oilton. Mart was born to Robin A. (White) and Harley Gene Brandon in Cushing, Okla. on Sept. 25, 1986. He died on Friday, July 19, 2002 at the age of 15 years. Mart had attended Drumright Public Schools where he was an accomplished athlete in football and basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on lawn mowers, and also enjoyed music and playing the guitar. Mart attended the River of Life Christian Center in Drumright, and the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cleveland. mart was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Leroy White Sr. He is survived by his mother and Stepfather, Robin and Jeff Dennis of Drumright; his father and stepmother, Harley and JoAnn Brandon of Yale, Okla.; Four brothers, Donald, Tommy, Zebadiah Brandon, and Darrel Dennis; maternal grandmother Jody White, Drumright; paternal grandparents Harlan and Marylyn Brandon, Jennings.
