Mrs. Augusta Abitz, 407 West St., died at 12:45 a.m. today at home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wesley Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerome Nagler will officiate and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The body will be at Helke West Chapel after 7 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Abitz was born June 29,; 1875, in Daber, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Seidler. She came to Wausau in 1882 and was married here June 18, 1901, to William Abitz, who died Dec. 10, 1950. She was the oldest member of Wesley Methodist Church, having been a member for 80 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ponko, 407 West St.; three sons, Donald, Wausau Route 4, Wallace, 1201 S. Seventh Ave., and Edwin, Sunnyside, Wash.; a brother Otto Seidler, Wausau Route 1, and 10 grandchildren.
