Martillus Embree was married to Margaret Hazelrigg in 1815 in Clark, Kentucky. Between 1816 and 1821 they moved to Pettis co., Missouri. In 1849 Martillus took the Oregon Trail, perhaps in response to the discovery of gold in California. He died on the trail and I have found no record of where he was buried.
