She married Walter Junior Ashbrook in Germany during WWII and they married there October 23, 1946. She was predeceased by her parents; husband and son, Kenny. Survivors include four daughters: Martha Bagley and husband, Everett; Sonnya Spires and husband, Jacky; Kathy Kinzey and husband, Allen, and Pamela Stevenson; sisters: Martha Ashcroft and Paula Hart; grandchildren: Tammy, Sandy, Jenny, Emily, John, Amelia, Carl, Steven, Lisa, Michael, Amy and Eric; and eighteen great grandchildren. Her funeral service is at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Sunny Lane Chapel with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
