Walter Junior Ashbrook, 85, a dedicated husband, father and grandfather died September 1, 2009.

Walter was born January 8, 1924 in Stonewall, OK to Walter Franklin and Hattie (Bagley) Ashbrook.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Eugenia, children Martha Bagley, Sonnya Spres and husband Jacky, Kathy Kinzey and husband Allen, Pamela Stevenson, 12 grandchildren Tammy, Sandy, Jenny, Emily, John, Amelia, Carl, Steven, Alisa, Michael, Amy, Eric, brother Kenneth, 4 sisters Ruth, Delores, Rosie, Norma Jean.

He married Eugenia October 23, 1946 in Germany. He was a hard worker and had many jobs as a young man trying to survive and provide for his family. One of the jobs he had was truck driving for Keebler.

He served his country proudly in the Army and retiring for the Nat'l Guard. Outside of serving his country his family was number 1. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson and Germany, camping, and working in the yard. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Friday 8AM-9PM. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Sunny Lane Chapel with burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
