Beatrice "Bea" Sparks of Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday evening at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. She was 78.
She worked at Crown Cork and Seal for many years and after retiring from there became the director of the Senior Citizen's Nutrition Center.
Born December 27, 1932 in Someset,Kentucky, she was the daughter of Taylor Sparks and Lela Woolery Sparks. She attended Kentucky schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Terry Denham VanMatre of Waynetown,Indiana, two sons,Ray (Wife,Jean)Denham and Mike (Sharon)Denham, both of Orlando,Florida, two sisters,Alice Wright of Crawfordsville,Indiana and Peggy Brashears of Marengo,Indiana, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings,James,William,Arthur,Pearl,Cora,Helen and Mary.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday at Burkhart Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetary North. Family and friends may pay their respects from noon to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
