Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct 1, 2015 at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
One of eight children, Mr. Freeman was born Jan. 14, 1954 in Caldwell to Nathaniel Dean and Maggie (Bivens) Freeman Sr.
He was a 1972 Graduate of Caldwell High School. He married
Doris Page on March 21, 1986 in Cameron. Mr. Freeman was self employed by F&H Backhoe and had worked as the Public Works Director for the City of Rockdale.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Freeman, Sr. on Aug 16, 1981 and a sister, Ruth Jones.
Surviors are his wife, Doris Freeman of Rockdale; 2 sons, Damion Turner of Washington and Leroy Freeman Jr. of Japan; 2 daughters Kayla Crowley of Huntsville and Jacqueline Joffray of Houston; his mother Maggie of Caldwell. 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
