NAOMA (RNS) - Mrs. Flora Allen, 73, of Naoma died Monday evening in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
Born Feb. 11, 1902, at Pineknob, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Samantha Workman Vealey.
Survivors include her husband, Meade; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Pettry of Mount Hope; three sons, Robert of Pine Knob, Orley of Dry Creek and Kenneth of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Lura Cook and Mrs. Orpha Webb, both of Naoma, Mrs. Thelma Miller of Sweeneysburg and Mrs. Sylvia Elswick of Seth; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Union Chapel Presbyterian Church at Pineknob with Rev. Carl Wingo and Rev. Dennis Thompson in charge. Burial will be in the Vealey Cemetery at Pineknob.
The body will be taken to the home at 5 p.m. today from Armstrong Funeral Home in Whitesville.
