Dolores was born in Eureka, KS on June 23, 1932. She and her family were residents of Overland Park since 1962. During her brief illness, she continued living at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Irma Brazil and her sister, Carol (Brazil) Stutz. Dolores's mother passed away at a very early age and was raised by her grandmother Brazil whom she held very close to her heart. Dolores was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish since 1962. She was always an active church member serving as Sacristan, Eucharistic Minister and assisting in RICA. During the church renovation, she was very active in working with the other volunteers renovating the church hall. She always was very proud of her Catholic faith. Dolores was always a whirlwind of activity, managing the home affairs, preparing wonderful meals, doing the shopping and paying all the bills ahead of schedule. She prided herself in having a good meal in the evening to bring the whole family together at the dinner table for love, conversation and good food. Dolores had the trademark of beautiful red hair and she would always greet everyone with a smile. While growing up in Eureka, KS, she worked at the local theater as the "popcorn girl". She sold a lot of popcorn with her red hair and her beautiful smile. She had a natural talent with hair. She always trimmed and styled her own hair and cut her husbands' and sons' hair as well. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Merle Braden; their three children, Vicki (Braden) Willett, Teresa (Braden) Cacioppo and Gregory Braden; grandchildren, Sean Cacioppo, Tierney Cacioppo, Brie (Willett) Chandler, Landon Willett; 3 great grandchildren; many cousins, half sisters, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
