MRS. I. B. BERRY FUNERAL HELD MONDAY
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist Church for Mrs. I. B. Berry who died Sunday at 5 p.m. at her home after a short illness. She had been in failing health for several years, but her condition because serious a few days ago.
Rev. Larance Leach, pastor of the Baptist Church officiated. A mixed quartet composed of Miss Iva Lee Fowler, Mrs. Edd Maguire, B. M. Ransbarger and F. G. Ransbarger singing "Old Rugged Cross," "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "No Night There."
Mrs. Berry was born January 26, 1869, and died November 30, 1941 at the age of 72 years 10 months and 4 days.
She was married to Isaac B. Berry October 1, 1886 and to this union seven children were born. A son, William Rector died in infancy.
At an early age she was converted and joined the Little Hope Baptist Church in Kentucky. In January 1930 she united with the Verden Baptist Church.
Mrs. Berry is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Sallie Litton of Chickasha; Mrs. Louie J. Perry of Pauls Valley, and Mrs. Minnie Trousdale of Verden; three sons Rumsey and George Berry of Pauls Valley, and Austin Berry of Verden; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Beulah Lane of Kentucky.
The casket bearers were Edd Magure, L. H. Periman, C. A. Niday, B. L. Anderson, Edd Sandlin and Eugene Sandlin.
The burial was made in Verden Cemetery with the Hansen Funeral Home in charge.
