Charles Herman, 63, resident of Soper passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 1996 at his home.
He was born September 19, 1932 in Soper to Artie Hern Herman and Frankie McCasland Herman. He had lived all his life in the Soper area. He married Doris Daniels on April 9, 1958 in Durant. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Sope American Legion and the Antlers VFW, He had worked as the Postal Route carrier for HC North and South routes for the past twenty years. He was a member of the Archey Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Artie Herman in December 1993, and a son, Shawn Herman in July 1995.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Doris, of the home; two sons, Michael Herman of Hugo and Brian Herman of Oklahoma City; two daughters. Ladonna of Durant and Shanna of Soper; his mother, Frankie Herman of Soper. one brother, Luther Herman of Durant; one sister, Mary Herman of MO; and three Grandchildren.
