Former Resident of Morning Sun Dies At Minneapolis, Minnesota

Morning Sun (IA), May 20. -- Mrs. Oscar Dotson of this place received word Tuesday of the death of her brother, David Baxter, 45, which occurred at Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tuesday (May 19, 1931) following an operation. He was the son of Jacob and Sarah Baxter, and grew to young manhood on a farm south of Elrick.

There survives his mother, Mrs. Baxter, of Burlington, three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Lee Peck and Charles Baxter of Burlington; Mrs. Hallie Moyers of Elk River, Minnesota; Wilson Baxter, Minneapolis, Minnesota, James Baxter of Oakville, and Mrs. Oscar Dotson of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peck of Burlington; James Baxter of Oakville and Mrs. Oscar Dotson of this place left Tuesday evening for Minneapolis to attend the funeral services which will be held there.

David Baxter stayed at the Wilson Baxter home at Minneapolis, while Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Baxter spent a week with relatives here a short time ago. The news of his death came as a great shock to his friends.
He was buried in Minnesota.
