Memorial services for Mrs. Minnie P. Miller, 95, Geneseo who died Saturday, March 27, were held Tuesday, March 30 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Edford township. Graveside services followed at the Edford township cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Meier, William Meier, Leyden Shipman, Greg Meier, Cyril Hulting and Howard Hintz. Memorials may be made to the church, of which she was the oldest member. The former Wilhelmina Meier was born April 20, 1886, in Edford township, the daughter of Julius and Augusta Pobanz Meier. She was reared and received her education in Edford township and had resided in the area all her life. On February 28, 1909, she was married to William H. Miller in Edford township. They farmed in the area and following his death in 1932, she continued to farm until 1951, when she retired and moved to Geneseo. She served as church organist at St. Peter's United Church of Christ and was a member of the Women's Guild. Surviving are two daughters, Hazel Miller of Geneseo and Mrs. Adeline Tiffany of Fresno, California, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters, three sisters, Miss Ida Meier of Riverdale, Miss Helen Meier of Chicago, and Mrs. Ann Webb of Waukegan.
