William Jennings Corns was born 2 April 1908 to Charles Curtis and Eva (Stover) Corns in Nipgen, Ohio.

Jennings or Buck as he was known to family and friends was married to Bernice Lucille (Burke) Clark of Ross County, Ohio. Jennings and Bernice raised their children, William Edwin, Donna L., Loren Eugene, and Beth E. in Springfield, Ohio. Jennings was a stepfather to June Clark, who was Bernice's daughter from a previous marriage. He was employed for 30 years as a mechanic for the town of Springfield.

Jennings died at home on 5 November 1977, at the age of 69 years. Reverend Paul Nickell officiated the funeral service at Littleton Funeral Home. Jennings was laid to rest at Newcomers Cemetery in Springfield.
