Services for Harvey Olden Amick, 77, of 5527 Ransom Drive will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, with burial in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Amick died Tuesday, July 14,1992. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Eddie and Lilie Emily Keisler Amick. He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army and Air Force and was a retired carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Cleo Cook Blackwood Amick; a son, Lloyd Blackwood of West Columbia; daughters, Minnie Bryant Of Hartsville and Betsy Amick of Columbia; a foster daughter. Sherry Elders of Columbia; foster sons, Edward Sanders and Bobby Kneece, both of Columbia; a sister, Ola Crapps of Leesville; brothers, Earl and Virgil Amick, both of Lexington, and Carl Amick of Gaston; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
