A native of Scotland, Mr. Alexander resided in this country for a number of years living, first in Philadelphia, and then in Eddystone before he came to this city, where he had resided for the past 19 years. He belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, No. 159; the Order of Owls, No.; 1228, and the I.O.O.F., Manchester Unity. He was a former member of the Eddystone Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife. Margaret; one brother, John Alexander, of Scotland, and two sisters. Georgina, of Boston, Mass., and Elizabeth, of Detroit, survive. Six children. John, Oliver, Thomas, Ella and Grace, of this city, and Mrs. Wilhelmina Houpt, of Lenni also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at the funeral home of John L. Clancy, Broad and Upland Streets, and interment will be in the Chester Rural cemetery.
