Born in Woodford County on March 24, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James Clinton McDonald and Hellen Victoria Devore McDonald Reed and the sister of Dian, Paula Kay, Denise, and Gregory. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Gay, and her son, Terry Gay. She is survived by two sons, Stanley Wayne Gay and Steven Alan Gay; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Sue was a member of the Westside Church of God, and loved spending time with her sons, whether it was watching WWE with Stanley, being out at Terry's farm, or having cookouts at Steven's. She loved her cat Jasmine and loved to shop, and was always surrounded by Christian pictures and angel figures that she collected.
Services will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 6 p.m. Thursday, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Sue will be buried in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, where a brief graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday.
