Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist Church at Detroit. Leverett and Steele Funeral Home will have charge of burial in Detroit Cemetery. The body will lie at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Mr. Jaynes was born Dec. 22, 1888 in Fannin County, a son of J. W. and Mary (Owens) Jaynes. He married the former Nora Layland on Aug. 23, 1952 in Texarkana. He was a retired farmer and member of the Detroit Methodist church. He had lived in Detroit 75 years.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Marvin Jaynes of Blossom and Gavin Jaynes of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. Veda Thomas of Jenks, Okla.; a brother, John Jaynes of Atlanta, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Sadler of Greenville, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell of Locksburg, Ark. and Mrs. Tinnie Phillips of Cordell, Okla.; two grandchildren, Roy Jaynes of Blossom
and Johnny Miller of Cement, Okla.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
