Lamar County Echo,Paris, Texas-December 1977-'Marvin Eugene Jaynes, 63, of Route 1, Blossom, died Saturday, December 17 1977, in McCurtain County Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Leverett and Steele Funeral; Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Naylor officiating. Internment was made in Detroit Cemetery. Mr. Jaynes was born in the Red River County on May 3, 1914, son of Frank P. Jaynes and Robbie Spangler Jaynes. He married Mirl Miller on January 4, 1935, in Clarksville. He had lived all his life in Red River and Lamar Counties and was a trucker and owner of a lumber company in Detroit. Survivors include his wife; one son, R. E. Jaynes of Blossom; one brother, Gavin Jaynes of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Veta Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and five grandchildren, Rick Don, Lisa, Nita, Roy Dean, and Michael Jaynes, all of Blossom. Pallbearers were Talma Roddy, Ervin Martin, Felton Fisher, Tom Boyer, James Miller and Jim Miller'.
