After an illness of three years Edward Andrews died at his home in the north part of the city on Thursday, May 4. Mr. Andrews was born in Rockland, Maine, in 1852 and was therefore at the time of his death 59 years old.
In 1874 Mr. Andrews was married to Miss Annie Ahearn and to this union were born five children, all of whom with their mother survive to mourn their great loss.
The funeral was held at St. Dominic’s Church on Sunday afternoon, the Rev. T.D. Kennedy officiating. The MWA, of which Mr. Andrews was a member, attended in a body. Relatives who attended from out of town were Daniel Jones and two daughters of Kewanee, Mrs. W.B. McCraw of Dunlap, and Charles Ogburn of Rockford.
